| "Gladiators" is a historical drama film that takes place during the height of the Roman Empire. The story follows Maximus, a successful general and beloved leader of the Roman army. However, his world is turned upside down when the emperor, Marcus Aurelius, names Maximus as his successor instead of his own son, Commodus.
